Private Homeschool: Tidewater Collegiate Academy
What is TCA? 
 

TCA is a private homeschool created for families looking for a new way to prepare their students for the future. Licensed teachers facilitate instruction for parents.  Students can earn a diploma from TCA that is accepted at 2 and 4 year institutions.

Lower School 
 

The lower school at Tidewater Collegiate Academy serves students aged 4 years old - 3rd grade in a "one room school house" format.  

Upper School 
 

The upper school at Tidewater Collegiate Academy serves students aged 4th grade - 12th grade in a "one room school house" format.  

Early College
​

Junior and Senior high school students can receive dual enrollment credit from Virginia Wesleyan University by taking college classes along side college students with college professors on the VWU campus.

Genius Hours

​

Genius Hours is an after school program inspired by Google's 20% time.  Students have a chance to explore their own passions in a collaborative team environment. 

Scout Programs

​

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts can join us for STEM related programs. 

Laboratory School

​

TCA is a innovative laboratory for teaching and learning.  Pre-service and current teachers engage in experiences to increase their professional capital in order to empower the next generation.

TCA is supported by the TCA Foundation, which is a 501c3 created to ensure that all families, regardless of background have access to exceptional education.  All donations made to the foundation directly impact our students and are tax deductable.
