Dr. Jankowski will give the Signature Talk on March 28.

Spark Sessions:

What About the 100 Languages?

Inspired by the poem The Hundred Languages of Children, this SPARK Session invites educators to reflect on how schools recognize and nurture the many ways students think, express, and demonstrate understanding. Participants will explore how intentional scaffolds and supports can restore and empower students by building on their strengths, rather than defining them by perceived deficits or labels. Through reflection and discussion, we will consider how classrooms can honor the diverse “languages” students bring including creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and problem-solving. And how educators can design learning experiences that help every student’s voice and abilities shine.

Mercedes Grant

Founder, Path of Life Learning

What if age-based classrooms aren’t the most effective way to educate 21st-century learners? Mercedes Grant will lead a collaborative conversation on building dynamic, multi-age environments where students grow through mentorship, ownership, and meaningful work. Participants will engage in discussion and idea-sharing around practical frameworks that help learners thrive — regardless of age, ability, or starting point. Come ready to rethink structure, culture, and what “progress” can truly look like.
